Megathymus yuccae yuccae ♀ original illustration of SYNTYPE, USA: (likely) GEORGIA This appears to be a composite illustration of two species. While the wing shape fits M. y. yuccae rather well, the pattern is clearly that of M. cofaqui. A comprehensive discussion of possible origins for such a discrepancy can be found here.
