| Satyrium saepium caliginosum type locality, habitat, and foodplant Baywood, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo Co., CA, USA 12-II-09 "Host and habitat of Satyrium saepium caliginosum at Baywood (TL). Center blooming shrub is Ceanothus cuneatus var. fascicularis, the presumed host. The plant occurs only in chaparral of sandy coastal mesas of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties (Jepson distribution code: "sCCo".)
