Original Combination: Calycopis sullivani

Type Locality: Canal Zone (now Canal Area) of Panama to the south, south-west of Gatn (9° 16'N, 79° 55'W) in the vicinity of the road to Escobal (cf. map in Ridgely 1976).

Types: Holotype in USNM
