Type Locality: “S. Arizona...Santa Rita Mts., Ariz....Rio Verdi Mts., Ariz.”; defined as “Ramsey Canyon, Huachuca Mts., Cochise Co., Arizona” by Shields (1975), Bull. Allyn Mus. (28): 16.

Types: Syntypes, excluding the specimen from the Rio Verdi Mountains, in USNM; “paratypes” figured by W. Holland (1931), Butt. Book (rev. ed.): pl. 66, figs. 39 ♂ D, 40 ♂ V.
