Types: Syntypes in OSU; figured by Gunder (1929), Pan-Pac. Entomol. 6(1): pl. 6 ♂ D&V, and W. Holland (1931), Butt. Book (rev. ed.): pl. 57, fig. 14 ♂ D.

The treatment of bernadetta as a species-level taxon (e.g., Kohler and Kondla (2006), Papilio (n.s.) 12: 30, and Scott (2006), Papilio (n.s.) 12: 30, 32-35) is premature and not well supported; a detailed investigation is needed.
