Type Locality: “brésilien”

Types: Holotype in MNHP; figured by K. Johnson (1991), J. Lepid. Soc. 45(2): fig. 17.

Robbins (1989), in: Ferris, Mem. Lepid. Soc. (3): 32, stated “at least two species are presently lumped under bazochii, and it is not clear if bazochii is the species that has been collected in Texas.”
