Myscelia cyananthe cyananthe ♀ Jojutla/Chinameca, elev. 900m, MOR, MX 6-VIII-2006 This female was sucking an appendice of a female of Cryptokermes (Hemiptera: Margarodidae) These animals are covered by a mucus which is very hard and only the tiny white filaments near the butterfly's legs (see where the arrow is pointing) is visible.
